Anatomy demonstrator workshop: successfully combined the theoretical knowledge and the practical enthusiasm
May 13, 2026
On March 17, the anatomy demonstrator workshop was held for the third time at the Medical School in Pécs, once again proving that theoretical knowledge and practical enthusiasm can be excellently combined. The event was conceived and primarily organized by Liliána Lucas and Nikolett Légrádi, who put together a professional program that appealed both to those seeking scientific depth and those looking for a sense of community.
The participants were welcomed by Professor Dr. Dóra Reglődi, head of the Department of Anatomy, and Professor Dr. Andrea Tamás, President of the DDK. A lecture was delivered by Dr. Gábor Horváth, a university assistant professor who, alongside his work in pediatrics, is also an active and well-regarded instructor at the Institute of Anatomy. In a direct and engaging style, he shared his experiences with the audience, building a bridge between university classrooms and clinical medicine.
A special highlight of the event was the student presentations. First, fifth-year medical student Medárd Varga captured attention with his precision and thoroughness, followed by sixth-year South Korean medical student Joori Park, who presented her topic with strong dedication and placed it in an international context.
After the professional program, participants took part in an interactive team-building game, where they could test their knowledge based on their previous anatomy studies. The competition also brought back memories of the most challenging exam entrance questions, although the focus was much more on teamwork, shared success, and good spirits. The afternoon concluded with an informal gathering and friendly conversations between students and lecturers, further strengthening the sense of community within the profession.
