Stress relieving slackline demo in the Northern Park of the Medical Scool

April 7, 2025

The Department of Languages for Biomedical Purposes and Communication invites medical, dentistry, pharmacy and biotechnology students to a slackline demonstration on 16 April, between 12-16 hours. The event will take place in the Northern Park of the University of Pécs Medical School.

Although slacklining is similar to tightrope walking, it differs from it. The slackline is much more flexible, allowing you to jump and perform movements similar those on a trampoline. By combining elements of yoga, acrobatics, and meditation, slacklining enhances balance, builds courage, and strengthens muscles.

Anna Pozsonyi, a medical student, will demonstrate the basics of slacklining to her peers, who will then have the opportunity to try out this form of exercise.

The event provides a perfect break from the stress of studying and the pressures of upcoming exams. Slacklining in the park helps students recharge both physically and mentally, breaking the routine of everyday life and equipping them with extra resilience as they face the exam period.
