Semi-annual "Frisbee Toss Demo"
March 28, 2025
You are hereby invited to the semi-annual “Frisbee Toss Demo,” 10 April, 2025, Thursday, 1400 hours, Medical School Park
Join your “pluto-playing” friends for frolic and fun spinning your platter and snagging impossible throws!
Hosted by your Languages for Biomedical Purposes and Communication in support of the
Medical School’s Wellness Program.
Starting today, add “inside, outside, backhand, forehand, flick, scoober, thumber grip, breakin’, snap and mark and backhand-dad to your vocabulary!
Put your agility and mental acumen to work and allow the Frisbee to come to you. Resist jabbing your hand into the air. This discourages jammed and dislocated fingers.
Dress appropriately for the sport, as in loose-fitting sportswear.
I recommend running shoes.
You’ll be hoofing, grooving, jumping, spinning, sliding, skimming and ducking.
A baseball cap with its overhead bill keeps the sun out of your eyes.
This event is dedicated to Anna, who due to a medical calamity last fall, faced insurmountable odds yet returned to academics with renewed inspiration and spirit. Our indomitable “Come-Back Kid,” Anna, inevitably healed and starred in last Fall Semester’s, first-ever-on-campus, Slackline Demo with vigor and verve. This one is for you, Anna, and your sister, Viki, too!
